For both coaching and resume writing, I work face-to-face, over the phone or over Skype (video over Internet). My handle on Skype is maureenpnelson. Payment can be by cash, check, PayPal or credit card. All services connected with your career are tax deductible.
CAREER COACHING — by the hour
Initial Session (2.5 to 3 hours): $400
Follow-up Sessions (1 hour): $150

RESUME WRITING
Below are general guidelines for pricing. In order to give you a final price, I need to learn what you want your resume to do for you (Keep you in same field? Reposition you in a new one? Satisfy HR because you've already been hired?). I would also like to see your current resume so I can see how much work needs to be done. All prices include a one hour consultation, cover letter and reference page.
- Entry-level: $175 (1-5 years' work experience; 1 page)
- Experienced: $375 (5-10 years' work experience; 1-2 pages)
- Mid-Career: $475 (10-15 years' work experience; 2 pages)
- Senior
Level: $675 (15+ years' work experience; 2-3 pages)
A word about prices...
How is it that some "resume mills" are able to offer resumes at $99 with same-day service? I am on a writer's mailing list and here is a job posting I received from a resume mill:
We are looking for certified professional resume writers and career coaches, who can help us with writing resumes, cover and follow-up letters and resume critiques. Payment: from $15-20 per resume.
How much time and care do you think your resume writer is going to put in if they are paid only $15 for your resume?
